We’re opening the vault to one of the unreleased original character concepts we’ve had in the chamber since 2021–before Apex Beard Co. had even opened!

The Slugger is one we’ve been searching for the finishing pieces to, waiting for the day when we crossed paths with what we needed to make the ultimate baseball scent. As a lifelong fan of baseball, someone who played in high school, and currently coaches—the game means so much. It was important to really nail this one if we were ever to bring it to the masses. I am proud to say that today is the day!

The finishing piece that you won’t find anywhere else is the creation of the perfect Pine Tar element. It smells about as close to the real stuff as you can get, which if you’ve played wooden-bat leagues or been around, is unmistakable.

In addition to the pine tar there is the lumbery smell of cedar, the scent of fresh cut smell of Kentucky Blue Grass, and the old-timey essence of the aged and oiled leather of an old trusty baseball glove. These 4 pillars combine to bring the game to you, no matter where you are, or what time of year. It’s bold, long-lasting, and one of a kind—just like our nation’s pastime!
